  • NEW YORKER IN TONDO

    NEW YORKER IN TONDO

This was a play written in the 50's and earlier today, we watched the Blue Tag 3.0 do their own adaptation of this Filipino classic. They did a wonderful job, making the different characters come alive in the eyes of the audience. The whole audience was full of laughter because of their amazing performance.

My favorite character was Kikay's little brother, played by Robert, because of his comedic performance. He made everyone burst into laughter, only after a few seconds he appeared in the scene.

Kikay, who is the main character, just came back home to Tondo. She spent a year studying in New York and she has completely changed. From the way she dresses to the way she talks, her own mother, Aling Atang didn't even recognize her as they saw her in the airport. As the story progresses, you will see the love affairs among Kikay, Totoy, Nena and Tony.

It is such a hilarious play! Not only is it funny, but it teaches all of us its central theme: "there is no place like home." No matter where you go, home is where the heart is. We learn lessons about love and culture. It is definitely a must watch.

  • CRAZY STUPID LOVE

    CRAZY STUPID LOVE

The last movie I watched was Crazy Stupid Love. I've watched it about 5 times since it's one of my favorites. It also stars one of my favorite actresses, Emma Stone. It's a romantic comedy starring Emma Stone, Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling. Nothing more than an enchanting light comedy of romantic confusion. It's a movie that understands love because it understands pain.

Steve Carell gave a ruefully funny performance. The movie is full of moments to savor. It's way better than your average romantic comedy. The cast was amazing as well! It was absolutely hilarious. Another thing I loved was that it was keeping it real. The movie was realistic but it had an edge of humor that made it enjoyable.

The movie taught about how love has its ups and downs but whatever happens, love always prevails. It showed love from the perspectives of the different characters of all ages. It's a shame the other actors don't fare as well. Emma Stone and Julianne Moore were solid characters but oddly underused. But, I still loved the movie.

  • DAY SEVEN

    DAY SEVEN

Finally got the English mastery test I missed over with! Spent the whole lunch period answering it. I still got Math to worry about though.

But for now, I should just be happy and celebrate with some SLT. :)

  • DAY SIX

    DAY SIX

I slept over Goth's house last night so I could wake up for the run. I never really trust myself with waking up early in the morning. Haha. I got to finish 6K! I didn't run much though, 'cause I was still kinda' sleepy. We danced some zumba afterwards. Great way to exercise and have fun at the same time. (:

  • DAY FIVE

    DAY FIVE

No classes today! We just had to go to school for the mass. Then, I had to pick up my singlet for the run but they said I couldn't pick it up til the afternoon.

We went shopping afterwards then watched a movie. (:

    DAY FOUR

Late. AGAIN. I woke up with a headache today so I got in five minutes late for school. :| Had to stay at the back on the bleachers while the assembly was going on...

This song's been stuck in my head since Mac played it last night. Hahaha.

  • DAY TWO

    DAY TWO

Hey, so I've decided to update this blog more often. Just like how I update my real blog everyday. I have 3 blogs. One's for personal use, the other one's my tumblr where I reblog pictures that I like and my other tumblr's for all my original posts. (: I guess that makes it four if you include this one.

I had to wake up at 6 AM today to prepare for my bestie, Kelsey's, birthday :) And to get the pictures of my Chem shirt from Avery.

So, right now I'm at home getting ready for her birthday dinner tonight.

    DAY ONE

Hey I'm Steph. I'm 14. I'm currently studying in Ateneo de Cebu. I'm in the Bloggers Elective right now. Basically, I joined this Elective 'cause I like blogging. I find it a lot more interesting. In fact, I post more things on my blog than I do on Facebook. And as you can see, I like the color blue(:

I'll be telling you more about myself in my future posts. Thanks for reading :)
